Privacy Policy

Effective 18 September 2026 · Last updated 10 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data maidigo collects through our website and our mobile apps, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language and to describe only what the software actually does.

1. Who we are

maidigo is a brand of Shaivaan Dynamics Private Limited, a company incorporated in India with its office at P. No. 76, White Feel Apartment, Office No. 2, Sr. No. 35/1/3, Sawarkar Nagar, Nashik – 422013, Maharashtra. For the personal data described here, Shaivaan Dynamics Private Limitedis the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”). “We”, “us” and “our” mean that company; “you” means the person using the Platform.

2. What this policy covers

It covers www.maidigo.com, the maidigo customer app, and the maidigo pro app used by the professionals who carry out visits. These are three faces of one service and one database, so the same policy applies to all of them. Where something applies to only one of them, we say so.

It does not cover any other website or app you reach through a link from ours. If you open a maps app, your dialler, or a payment app from within maidigo, what happens there is governed by that provider’s own policy.

3. What we collect

3.1 When you create an account

Your name, email address and a password. We never store the password itself, only a one-way cryptographic hash of it, which cannot be turned back into your password.

3.2 When you book a service

  • your mobile number, so the assigned professional and our operations team can reach you;
  • the service addressyou save — house or flat, street, landmark, area, city and PIN code, and a label such as “Home” if you set one;
  • the map coordinates of your door, if — and only if — you pin it yourself on the map in the app. An address typed on the website has no coordinates, and nothing is taken from your phone’s location sensors;
  • your booking details— the service and plan chosen, the date and time slot, the price you were quoted, any coupon used, the payment method, and the booking’s status as it moves from placed to completed;
  • the start and stop codes generated for each visit, which only you can see and which the professional must obtain from you to begin and to close the visit;
  • any rating and comment you leave after a visit. Ratings are used internally by our operations team; they are not published on the Platform.

3.3 If you join a waitlist or send us an enquiry

Your name, mobile number, the area of Nashik you are in, and the service you are interested in.

3.4 Automatically, when you use the Platform

Your IP address and browser or device user agent, recorded against your sign-in session so we can keep you signed in and detect abuse. Our hosting and infrastructure providers also keep short-lived server logs of requests made to us.

3.5 If you apply to work with us

Applicants to become a maidigo professional give us considerably more: full name, mobile and alternate mobile, current and permanent address, Aadhaar number, date of birth, gender, marital status, emergency contact, education, languages, work experience, the services and areas they want to work in, their availability, expected pay, bank account or UPI details for payouts, police verification status and references. This is collected to verify identity and background, to assign work, and to pay people — and it is kept access-restricted to the staff who genuinely need it.

3.6 What we do not collect

The customer app does not ask for location permission and cannot read your phone’s position. It does not read your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, call logs, SMS or installed apps. We do not collect card numbers, UPI PINs or bank credentials from customers (see clause 7). We do not buy personal data about you from third parties, and we do not sell yours to anyone.

4. Why we use it

  • To deliver a booking you asked for— work out whether we serve your area, hold a slot, quote a price, assign a professional, get them to your door, verify the visit with your codes, and close it out.
  • To take and reconcile payment for that booking, and to process refunds where they are due.
  • To keep you informedabout your booking by app notification, SMS, WhatsApp or phone call — confirmation, assignment, arrival, completion.
  • To support you when something goes wrong, and to investigate complaints, damage claims and safety incidents.
  • To keep the service safe and honest— verifying professionals, detecting fraudulent bookings, coupon abuse and payment claims that do not match what reached the bank.
  • To meet legal obligations, including tax and accounting records and responses to lawful requests.
  • To improve the service— understanding, in aggregate, which areas and services are in demand so we can staff them.

Under the DPDP Act we process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you create an account and place a booking, and for the legitimate uses the Act permits, such as complying with law. You can withdraw consent at any time (clause 12), though we cannot deliver a booking without the data needed to deliver it.

5. Who we share it with

  • The professional assigned to your booking sees your name, mobile number, service address and the details of the visit. They do not see your email address, your other bookings, or your start and stop codes.
  • Our operations team sees your bookings in an internal admin panel, in order to assign, track and support them.
  • Service providers who run our infrastructure on our instructions— our database and hosting providers, and Google Maps, which renders the map you pin your address on. We make no geocoding or places lookups; map display is the only Google product the customer app uses.
  • Our payment provider, where a booking is paid through a payment gateway (clause 7).
  • Authorities, courts and advisers, where we are required by law to disclose, or where disclosure is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim, or to protect someone’s safety.
  • A successor, if the business or part of it is merged, acquired or reorganised — on the same terms as this policy.

We do not share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers, and the apps carry no advertising and no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

6. Location

Customer app. It never asks for location permission. The only coordinates we hold are the ones you place yourself by dragging a pin onto your own door when saving an address, so that a professional can find it. You can save an address without pinning it.

maidigo pro app.A professional’s phone shares its location, including in the background, while they are on duty and travelling to or working on a visit — so that you can see them approaching and so that dispatch can run the day. That trail is used for the visit and for safety, and is not built into a profile of anyone’s movements outside working time.

7. Payments

Website bookings are paid up front through our payment gateway, HDFC Bank SmartGateway. App bookings are presently paid after the visit. In every case:

  • we never see or store your card number, UPI PIN, bank password or any other payment credential — those are entered on the gateway’s own hosted page or in your own bank or UPI app;
  • we record the booking reference, the amount, the gateway’s order and payment status, and any refund, so that we can confirm your booking and reconcile it with our bank;
  • we keep the transaction record itself for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

8. Notifications and messages

By creating an account and booking, you agree to receive service messages about your bookings by app notification, SMS, WhatsApp and phone call — including where your number is on the DND register, because these are transactional rather than promotional. You can ask us to stop sending promotional messages at any time by writing to us; you cannot opt out of messages that are necessary to deliver a booking you have placed.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

The website sets a small number of strictly necessary cookies — principally the one that keeps you signed in and the one that protects forms against cross-site request forgery. The apps store your session token on your own device. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

10. How long we keep it

  • Account details — while your account is open, and then as set out in clause 13.
  • Bookings, payments and invoices— for as long as tax, accounting and limitation law requires, which in India is generally up to eight years, even after an account is closed.
  • Session records — until the session expires, and shortly after for security review.
  • Waitlist and enquiry details — up to 24 months, unless you ask us to remove them sooner.
  • Applicant and professional records— for the duration of the engagement and afterwards for as long as employment, payout and verification obligations require.

11. How we protect it

Traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit using TLS. Passwords are stored only as hashes. Access to the admin panel and to the underlying database is restricted to the people who need it for their work, and sensitive fields — a booking’s start and stop codes, applicants’ identity and bank details — are deliberately withheld from surfaces that do not need them. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act requires.

12. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data of yours we hold and process, and who we have shared it with;
  • correct or complete anything that is wrong or out of date;
  • erase personal data we no longer need for the purpose it was collected for, or for a legal obligation;
  • withdraw your consent, which we will act on as readily as we acted on the consent itself;
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated;
  • raise a grievance, which is clause 16.

Write to hello@maidigo.com from the email address on your account. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may keep what the law requires us to keep.

13. Deleting your account

You can ask us to close your maidigo account and delete your personal data at any time, on our delete your account page, or by emailing hello@maidigo.comfrom the address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”.

When you do, we delete your name, email address, mobile number, saved addresses and map pins, and your ratings and comments, within 30 days. We keep the booking, payment and invoice records themselves for the period described in clause 10, because tax and accounting law requires it — but they are detached from your account and retained in a form that is not used to contact you or to build a profile of you.

A booking that is still open cannot be deleted until it is completed or cancelled, because the professional on their way to your door needs the address.

14. Children

maidigo is not intended for children. You must be 18 or older to create an account or place a booking, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The updated version takes effect when posted here, with a revised date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use data we already hold about you, we will tell you by email, SMS or in-app notice before it takes effect.

16. Grievance officer and contact

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data or your request, contact our Grievance Officer. We will acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to resolve within 30 days. If you remain dissatisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
